At ADDDITION, we continue to revolutionize the way people live with and showcase their prostheses. Today, we proudly launch our new mini-Covers for transfemoral amputees: an innovative, lightweight, and stylish solution designed for those who want to protect their prosthesis without giving up the pride of showing it.
Manufactured using 3D printing in Polyamide 12 (PA12)—a high-quality material widely used in orthopedics for its durability, lightness, and aesthetics—these covers offer the perfect combination of protection, design, and comfort.
Unlike our anatomical transfemoral covers, mini-Covers focus solely on the knee area, leaving the prosthetic tube visible. This responds to a growing trend among users: embracing their prosthesis as part of their identity. And with more than 30 colours, 3 finishes, and 6 unique designs, these accessories become a true tool for personal expression.
Their attachment system includes four strong magnets and an internal elastic band that ensure the cover stays perfectly in place—without noise or unwanted movement. Even better, no tools or complex adjustments are required: they snap on in seconds.
Each mini-Cover is specifically designed to fit the most popular knee prosthesis models from leading manufacturers such as Ottobock, Össur, Blatchford, and Proteor. For those using a C-Leg 4 prosthesis, an optional special opening for the charger is available, so you can recharge without removing the cover.
This launch also aims to make life easier for orthopedic professionals. The order form takes less than a minute to complete: simply specify the prosthesis model, the colours, the finish, the design, and whether a charger opening is needed—no measurements required. In this way, ADDDITION makes 3D-printed prosthetic covers more accessible to more people, without complications and at an affordable price.
Because to us, every prosthesis tells a story. And with mini-Covers, that story can now be told with more style than ever.
